Jack scooped up a few pieces of glass and stood up, a mournful look on his face as he looked up at Barbossa. He cast the glass over the deck and saluted them as they sank down to Davy Jones' locker. Finally he turned back to Barbossa and said "Aren't you gonna finishg that mate?" then he took the bottle and drained that too. He gave the bottle back saying "Cheers mate" then took another bottle from a passing crew member and drained that too. Ah, sweet, sweet rum. How could he have gone so long without it? All his troubles were washed away by this heavenly liquid... He looked back at Barbossa and finally said back to him "Well *hic* I suppose you just will mate" he grinned as he gave him a meaningful look. He turned away and swaggered in a strangely dignified way, humming under his breath "Yoho, yoho a pirate's life for me!" as he sid this last word he threw the bottle into the air and it landed in the sea. Jack, following it, plunged into the ocean after it saying "My rum!" he grabbed the bottle and clung to it like it was his own child. He bobbed in the sea a while, waiting for someone to help him out...

Gibbs noticed Jack diving into the sea after his rum. He sighed, rolled his eyes, then looked around the deck for some rope.... He eventually found some & tossed it over to Jack to reel him back in.....

Jack grabbed the rope and tried hauling himself up, but promptly fell off out of drunkeness. He tried again and managed to haul himself up to the deck, pouring water all over the deck but posatively beaming. "Thanks mate!" he clapped Gibbs on the back then approached Barbossa "The cabin's all yours mate..." he shoved him towards his cabin and slammed the door. Jack, standing on the outside, sauntered off towards First Mate's cabin. When he reached it, he sat down heavily on the chair then promptly fell over. Cursing, he picked himself up from a barrel of apples which had been behind him. "oooh! Apples" he picked one up and began munching his way through Barbossa's entire supply of apples. He must have looked quite a sight to anyone who passed the open door, singing, eating apples and drinking rum blissfully, unaware of the rash promise of giving Barbossa the captain's cabin, which he was sure to regret in the morning...

Barbossa was surprised at Jack's sudden generosity. He was looking at the charts, they were heading the fountain of youth, unhappily Barbossa realised that he was going to have to get Jack to help him as whover had drawn this map had the same dimwitted use of language as Jack. Barbossa got up and headed for the first mates cabin, shocked as he walked in.

Barboss caught the apple, less than amused at Jack eating his supply, but he did not want another arguement, he needed Jack's help, and here he was, about to tell him that. For a minute, he felt ashamed, he could not quite bring himself to admit it to Jack's face, he stood there looking like the clogs inside his head were movig quickly trying to actually lower himsef to say the words. His grip on the rolled up map tightened as he finally opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. Instead he raised the rolled up map, which now had a gaping hole inside of it after Jack had stolen the rest, and merely pointed at it before raising his eyebrows and almost smiling to try and convey the question without the words he could not bring himself to say.

Jack raised an eyebrow as he watched Barbossa's strange behaviour, then realized and a huge drunken grin spread across his face and he stood up out of the barrel of apples and they showered down off him, even out of his hair and trousers... O.o He swaggered over to barbossa and leant close to him before taking the map and saying "Follow me, if you please..." then with that annoying, selfsatisfyed grin still in place, meandered tipsily over to his ex-cabin. Once inside, he turned back to Barbossa and un-sheathed the map from his pocket. He put both pieces back together on the desk and stood over it, examining it closely.... "The Fountain of Youth, eh? hmmm...." he turned his head this way and that, twisting the dials round.........
