Next morning, Jack woke up and still felt quite good. He picked up his hat and walked in his usual drunken fasion out of his cabin onto the sunlit deck, the medallion around his neck on a chain glinting in the sun. He breathed in deeply then walked over to wake up Barbossa, who was meant to get the crew sorted. He burst in, as usual, into Barbossa's cabin and shouted "Wake up Barb! Gotta get the crew ready and rarin'!" in a more cheery way than usual

((ooc: lol i kno... XD ;D anywayz, well, Barb seems to have died so I suppose I shud take him over... again. sozzle barb! ^^ ) Barbossa awoke with a jerk. He glared at Jack for a moment and slowly stood up. "Yar, all right Jack, ye dont have to barge in" as he said this he picked up his hat from a table and stuffed his boots back on. Jack observed him smugly. When Barbossa was ready, he turned on the spot and strode out on to deck. "Well matey, aren't you gonna get the crew up?" He watched as Barbossa emerged from his cabin - Barb blinked in the bright sunlight, but then gave Jack a long, cool gaze then strode off without a word. He opened the door of the crew's quaters and shouted at the top of his lungs "WAKE UP YE SCURVY DOGS!!!" he watched with an evil grin, as the crew jumped a mile into the air and began scrambling around like mice. They got dressed and were out of the cabin in no time at all - Barbossa's presence alone was enough for that. Jack meanwhile, was waiting on deck, at the wheel. He looked out to sea and breathed in deeply. "Ah, another day of pirating awaits" he said to himself. Just then, the crew scrambled on deck shouting and making a great deal of noise as they set to work doing their jobs. They were followed by the extravagently hatted Barbossa, striding along at his ease then walked over to the banisters of the ship at the front and slumped his shoulders as he looked down into the deep blue of the ocean. Barbossa sighed and closed his eyes and was lost in thoughts for a long while. he didn't even notice that Jack was watching him and had walked (or staggered) up behind his some feet away. Jack watched him in a new light - he had always considered Barbossa as a sly, evil scurvy pirate, just as he was, but seeing him like this was not characteristic AT ALL - something was obviously troubling him. Jack tilted his head slightly, then walked over next to him and stood next to him, looking out to sea too. Barbossa still had his eyes closed and his head bowed - he looked like a statue. Jack however didnt look at him. He just stared out to sea. It was a long, long while until Jack looked back at Barbossa and noticed that, under the lids, there seemed to be... could it be... tears? *continued later*
