((btw, this is a random ramble which i did because i was bored and im sad like that. ^^; ))
Jack walked off his beloved Pearl's deck and onto firm ground. He breathed in the salty air and strolled into the market, full of people from pirates to merchants to navy-men. Jack weaved between them, snatching a purse or two easily in the crowds.
He finally reached the stall he was looking for - the rum stall. A wizened looking man with piercing green eyes and broken teeth greeted Jack at the stall. "Why if it isn't Captain Jack Sparrow..." Jack smiled his gold-toothed grin and said "Aye, tis me - could I get the usual?" The merchant nodded and grinned, his wizened face creasing up and his broken yellow teeth beared. He bent down and brought up a whole crate of rum, about the size of a TV in a box. People passing by stared at Jack and the merchant as Jack smiled and reached for the box but the merchant said "Oh no Jack, I'm not fallling for that again - I remember when you snatched a whole crate of this and scarpered. That'll be £20" and he stuck out his boney hand. Jack rolled his eyes and emptied the contents of a bulging purse into his own hand and counted out 20. He handed it over and hauled the crate off back towards the ship. He handed the crate to Gibbs who was standing gaurd of the Pearl. "Take that down to the cellar would you? Maybe get Barbossa to help you or something..." Jack grinned at Gibbs who rolled his eyes and hauled the crate back inside the ship's bowels.
Jack looed around feeling light as air. He strolled back to the stalls and explored a bit. He passed so many people from so many cultures - people from around the world came to Jamaica to sell at the market. That was when he spotted him - it was Norrington, re-instated commodore and he was here! Right by the stall where he had gotten the rum. Jack watched in facination as the merchant discussed quietly with Norrington who was surrounded by soldiers as he talked to the merchant. Suddenly, the merchant pointed somewhere behind Jack - the direction where the Pearl was anchored. The soldiers and Norrington all turned around to face HIM. Jack smiled mischeiviously and ran back to the Pearl. He met Gibbs, Barbossa and Will by it and he said "It appears we have a problem. Norrington and his band of scallywags are after us again!" Jack strode on to the Pearl and called the crew to get ready for sail. They all looked rather miffed by this - they had all been waiting to enjoy some time on firm land and a long awaited break at the pub, but had obviously realised that something was wrong. The usual bustle of activity broke out all over the deck; hoisting the sails, hauling the anchor up and untying the ship from the dock. Jack looked over his shoulder and saw the troop of Norrington's men heading straight for them, pushing through the crowds. Jack heard Barbossa bellowing behind him as though it was his ship, but now wasn't the time for arguements. The ship had begun to move away from the dock and the troops were getting nearer and nearer. One of them foolishly leapt up at the ship, grabbing the rail, but Jack smiled at the terrified man's face and said "Sorry mate" and sliced his fingers off and he fell away into the sea. Jack strode off at ease while he sheathed his sword, hearing the shouts of the troops and of Norrington. He smiled as he strode up to Barbossa who was at the wheel of the ship and looked out at the sea. They were far out of the dock when the man in the crwo's nest shouted "They're coming after us!!" Jack and Barbossa both frowned and turned in unison to see the Dauntless, sails full and speeding towards them. Barbossa looked down at the crew and shouted "Get moving you cockroaches! Full canvas and hoist the colours!" Jack had just stepped foward and had his mouth open about to give orders, but then turned to Barbossa and frowned at him, who simply ignored Jack and carried on steering. Jack rolled his eyes and walked down the small flight of stairs and on to deck as the crew hoisted the colours and opened the sails fully - Jack walked through the huge bustle and right up to the other end of the ship, to the bow and leant against the rails with a bottle of rum he had picked up from a barrel on deck. He took a swig and watched the sea ripple as the sun set on the horizon, and the green flash of light lit up the sky like a neon flame. He sighed and turned around to see the Dauntless fading on the distant horizon - the Pearl had far outstripped her and they were still cutting a path through the sea like a dolphin.
